Words can’t express how saddened I was to hear of your passing.
I know you’re in a better place, and you aren’t in pain anymore.
I’ll never forget the first day I met you at Camp Emerson. You helped me with whatever I needed and the smile on your face lit up the room. I knew meeting you, I made the right choice with sending my daughter to Emerson, cause you were so sweet and inviting.
I told you from that day forward, we were family, and I meant that.
We miss you so much!! You’ll always be remembered, never forgotten!!
You brought so much light to Emerson, the kids loved you, the parents loved you, you always had a smile on your face, always kept it real, and didn’t take any mess.
We appreciate everything you’ve done, not only for the school, but for the community of families, that sent their kids to Emerson.
Rest easy, and in peace Ms Paula.

Miss Paula, I miss you so much already.I still can't believe you are gone. I know you are no longer in pain, and I know you're smiling up there in heaven, looking down on all of us.I will continue like you asked me to, to sit at the table in the morning and greet everyone like we used to do every day.My heart is broken.I love you so much. I will treasure our friendship. Becerra, you and me. We went through so many good times and some bad, but we always stuck together as sisters. If I ever go to a casino, I'll make sure I play for you LOL. You are always such a wonderful person with the students.When they needed somebody to talk to, you were always there for them, even if they were doing something they shouldn't have been doing, you would steer them in the right direction, like a mama bear. I will miss that. Rest in peace my sister.

You were always the constant at Emerson, the friendly face, the understanding adult who told kids how it is and the coworker who I could laugh and commiserate.
Watching you have honest and deep conversations with some of our struggling students was always powerful: you gave it to them straight with life stories and humor. You were the bright light for so many kids, staff, teachers, Watson and me too. I will always remember your warmth and honesty and laughing at my stupid jokes and sarcastic comments.
Rest in peace, my friend…you have left an indelible mark on your family, friends and the school community. You will be sorely missed and loved.
