R. S. Burden
I recently became aware of the passing of Anita Harshaw. Its been almost five years since her passing, I still want to express condolences to her family. There is no time limit for grieving.
'Ms. Anita' was one of the best hair stylists in the Los Angeles area for over 2 decades. I met Ms. Anita in the early 70's when she was at the downtown LA MAY CO. She did my hair for my 20th birthday.
Like me, most of her 1st time customers became permanent ones. I was fortunate that Ms. Anita let me know whenever she changed locations. Customers who may have lost contact would recognize her work. Ms. Anita was always ahead of time & creating the 'Le Zebra Bounce'. Ms. Anita began working from home after her son was born. She would often visit family in Bakersfield. I moved out of area & lost contact.
Friends & family I referred to Ms. Anita still talk about what a great hair dresser she was.
I'm proud to say that Ms. Anita was my hairdresser & friend for almost 20 years & I know there are hundreds of customers who love & miss her as well.
Rest in Peace Ms. Anita
