A TIME AND A SEASON

A TIME TO BE BORN
The life book of Arlean Elaine Jones opened July 28, 1955 in Los Angeles, California. She was the first child born to union Callie Williams-Mosely and Charles Jones.
A TIME TO LEARN
Arlean obtained her early years of education in Los Angeles area, attending and graduating from John C. Fremont High School. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Gethsemane Christian Love Baptist Church.
A TIME TO LOVE
During high school, Arlean meet and fall in love with Thomas Florence. Together, they created a son, Darrell Lamar Florence. In 1977, Arlean married Ernest Harris. To this union a beautiful baby girl was born on August 2, 1978, Jamilah Arlest Harris. In 1983, Arlean married Charles Simmons and they raised two sons. Arlean had a great love for her children.
A TIME TO LIVE
Arlean attended trade school and became a legal secretary and worked in the field for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bid whist and dominos. Most of all, she loved to cook, listening to music and watching a good movie.
A TIME TO MOURN
On Wednesday, November 17 at 7:16pm, an Angel of Mercy stopped by Arlean’s hospital room and she went to give account of her stewardship, moving from Labor to Reward.
Arlean’s husband: Charles Simmons and parents: Callie Jones and Charlie Jones; one daughter: Jamilah Arlest Harris; two brothers: Freddie Mosely and Jimmy Mosely; one nephew William (PeeWee) Mosely all preceded her in death.
Arlean leaves to cherish her loving memories and celebrate her home going: one Son, Darrel L. Florence Sr.; one daughter in law: Ashia Florence; two grandsons: Darrell L. Florence Jr. and Donathan Florence; two sisters: Mary Kelly (Roosevelt) and Sharon Jones-Collins (Sam); three nieces and one nephews: Rashawn Davis, Antoinette “Susie” Davis (Willie Dee), William Mosely, Daikell Russell (Christopher); one aunt: Thelma Patrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, friends.
