Catherine Rose is the epitome of a true leader and teacher. While I did not recognize it at the time- the dedication and commitment she had to her role was demonstrated daily through her insistence on punctuality, neatness and effort. She cared about the whole student. She also stepped away from the classroom and the chalkboard to engage the cultural aspects of the child by teaching daily, another commitment for which she held you accountable. You were expected to be punctual, to pay strength in and give your best effort and if you didn’t she had her ways of encouraging otherwise. A great mantra to live by. Her influence will forever be with me. RIP beloved !!🙏🏾
