Ella Windorolyn Taylor-Spence's Obituary
Ella Windorolyn Taylor Spence, one of four siblings, was born to George and Ethyl Taylor in Dallas, Texas, on January 16,1928. Aſter the death of her mother, in the 1940’s, she moved to Los Angeles, where she attended Jefferson High School, of which she graduated from in 1946. She enjoyed crocheting and reading, and she could bake a delicious strawberry cobbler.
Further, Ella was baptized in Jesus’s name and filled with the Holy Ghost as a young woman. Her church affiliation at that time was with the Apostolic Faith Home Assembly, where the late Bishop Floyd I. Douglas, and aſter his death, the late Bishop Frank R. Bowdan were the pastors.
Sister Spence went home to rest on November 9. Her sister, Georgia Hudson preceded her in death in 1994, and her daughter, Faith Alexander, went home to be with the Lord in March of 2011. She is survived by her sister, Betty Fortner, her brother, Melchizedek “Sonny” Mahammad, her nieces and nephews: Norma Simpson, Richard Mitchell, Brenda Taylor‐Smith, Raygena Smith, Benny Faye Hudson, Bridgette Hudson, Barry Hudson, Brian, Tanisha, Matthew, Myah, and Brandon Taylor, and more cousins. She is already missed.
