Eula Maude Evans' Obituary
OBITUARY
On October 22, 1928, Eula Maude Walker was born to Mrs. Ida Rapheal Walker and Charlie “Tink” Walker in Pelican, Louisiana. She was the third child born to this union. Eula accepted the Lord at an early age and was a fervent worshiper her entire life. Her family moved to Los Angeles about 1940 before WWII. Eula attended Jr. High and graduated from Jefferson High School with the Class of 1948. She worked various jobs after graduation. She married, and had a beautiful daughter Patricia L Gillard. Four years later she was blessed again with wonderful daughter Rhonda Williams. After finding the love of her life she met and married Climmie Evans in 1954. To this union two sons were born; Kikus M and Byron C Evans.
Since her marriage allowed for her to be a homemaker, Eula raised her children and was an active member of her Church. She was an usher, a choir member, a missionary, a Deaconess, and proudly became a member of the Mother’s Board. Eula baked for any occasion needed, gave comfort to the bereaved and prayed for all. She helped raise her grandchildren when the Lord blessed her with them. She and her husband bought an apartment building in 1963 and became fixtures in the USC community.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Climmie Evans; both of her parents, her stepfather Bouse Hall; her brothers Leo Walker and Spencer Walker; her sisters Zephyr Walker Johnson and Frances Walker Neal; her children Patricia Gillard-George and Byron C Evans; her sister in law Loveda Julia Walker and her husband’s twin brother Clyde Evans.
She is survived by her children Rhonda Collins, and Kikus Evans; her grandchildren; Latrice Elder, Frank (Ginifer) Collins II, Norris Anthony Elder, Ida Russell, Niesha (Melvin) Russell, and Miko Evans; her great grandchildren: DelVon Wingfield, Airon Wingfield and Trinity Wingfield; Frank Collins III and Adam Collins; Angelnae Elder and Norris Elder Jr; Damon Siah; Lailah Russell, Aaliyah Russell, and Melvin Russell III; great great grandchildren Khristian Bennett and Billie Rae Damaria Young; a Daughter in law Brenda Clevenger-Evans; and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
