She also enjoyed the theatre and arts. She, her sister Johnnie Mae, and two daughters enjoyed an annual evening at the theatre, followed by a delicious meal at one of her favorite restaurants.
For anyone who knew her, Evelyn had a joyful, playful spirit and an infectious laugh. She loved to tease those she cared about. Just the Sound of her voice brought joy to your heart. How she loved and deeply cared about her family and friends, she was the person you called for if you were in need of prayer. She was also generous in spirit; donating time and money to many causes including the Venice Foursquare Church Youth Ministry, Victory's school- The Linda Verder Center, and outreaches in Mexico.
Mere words cannot express the deep sense of loss for those who knew and loved her- and there are many. And those who knew her well, know that now she is now in heaven, basking in God's glory...giving orders and trying to run things...
