Evette was a regular in my neighborhood as a close friend a frequent visitor at the Brewer residence. She could always make you smile because she was always smiling, always engaging, always warm and friendly. My sincerest condolences to the Delton family and to Brenda Brewer and her family as well. The light went out here, but is now burning bright in Heaven...rest peacefully, Evette.
I joined LA County DPSS in August 2015 and I remember that Evette came into the classroom with a huge smile and always laughing. Evette had a gift of making everyone's first day seem very relaxed. Evette's amazing and will not be forgotten.
To the Deltons,
My deepest and sincere condolences goes forth, to God be the glory for having known Evette, my Sister in Christ, chior member, Sunday school sister, and a dedicated woman of God. Indeed you're going to be missed. All the years of knowing Evette I thought of her to be be a cool person always prevailing in Christ. RIP Evette and to the entire family, may the Lord be with you, granting you peace and love it is my prayer.

I joined LA County DPSS in Sept 2014 and the first person I met was Evette. Never saw her frown, never her complain and she always kept it honest. She gave sound advice and truly knew her field. Evette led my orientation but she also trained me in programs. So hard to imagine never seeing her again at the Academy it will never be the same. Paradise surely took a beautiful. I will miss her smile!
I had the privelege to have met Ms. Evette at the Norwalk DPSS Academy on January 2013. She was one of the Orientation trainers and she left a lasting impression. Big beautiful smile and always had something funny to say. She was extremely intelligent and helped me in my new path with DPSS. I will forever cherish the memories, few
But everlasting. May you rest peacefully.
Vette was an incredible person. She was a loving daughter, great aunt and cousin, an awesome Godmother and a rare, genuine friend. I met when I was in elementary school. Because Brenda gained a real and true friend, I did too, although she was really family.
She was also a fun person, always smiling. She just illuminated the room wherever she was. Vette was quick-witted and never short of jokes. She'd have you laughing all the time. Since I moved back home, I got to spend more time with Vette and enjoy her company and witness the beauty of an amazing, "crazy" woman. I say these words with love.
I remember when I was a kid and going on adventures with Brenda and Vette. We did alot together. I just shared one with my Grandma after so many years later.
I miss Vette. I could not let go of her hand. I wanted her here with us, but of course, I know she's present with our Lord and that has given me peace that surpasses all understanding. This is not our home and God always works things for good, for those that love Him and are called according to His purpose, amen.
With love,
