Grover Freeman's Obituary
Grover Cleveland Freeman, also known as, G.C., was born on November 9, 1928, in Augusta, Georgia to Johnny Freeman and Lillian Momon Freeman. He was the sixth of eleven children born to this union. Grover enjoyed his childhood working alongside his dad on the farm, hunting and fishing with his brothers and helping to watch over his sisters. He ebtained his education through elementary school in Augusta, Georgia.
In 1956, Grover met and fell in love with his wife, Icy Ruth, in Augusta, Georgia; from this union four of his seven children were - born. Grover also had two children by Georgia Lou, prior to his marriage to Icy Ruth. Grover worked two jobs to provide for his family as a mechanic and store clerk until his relocation 'to California. In Califomia, Grover met Michelle Patton and from th.is union his youngest daughter was born.. Grover enjoyed having geHogethers at his home and traveling. Grover loved the Lord and he attended St. Rest Baptist Church in Los Angeles, CA and was an active member until he became ill. After becoming ill, he moved in with his sister, Bernice Osborne who became his caretaker until his passing.
Grover leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, Leroy Freeman, four sisters, Bernice Osborne, Johnnie Mae Crowley, Parthenia Tolbert, and Marial Tutt. Grover's so . Leonardo Freeman went ahead of his father. Grover leaves behind three sons, Gain Johnso Dorian Freeman and Cordell Freeman. He leaves behind 3 daughters, Cheryl Freeman, Sandra Johnson Lampkin, and Mishanda Freeman. He also leaves behind a nephew, Floyd Osborne and a grandnephew Ramon Dent, whom he was very close to, as well as a host of grandchildre nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Grover Freeman was deeply loved by all who graced his 1presence. He will be missed and will continue to live in our hearts and thoughts.
