Mrs. Tippins was a lovely person. Her son, David and I were girlfriend and boyfriend for several years while working on our college degrees. I can still remember her talking with me while doing my hair.. she would give me advice.. and then say “ you young people do what you want”. During holiday/family gatherings she and her husband always wanted to make sure everyone had plenty to eat. She raised two fine sons of which she was tremendously proud. She always made me feel welcome and cared for.
