Mrs Linda Raye Corvelle Walker-Goodman's Obituary
Linda Raye Covelle Walker was born May 29, 1949, to Viola Walker and
Kermit Alexander in Waco, Texas. She attended grade school and completed
G.L. Wiley Junior High School. Linda relocated to Los Angeles, California
at an early age, where she continued her education at Thomas Jefferson
High School.
Linda later worked many jobs. She enjoyed being employed as a Certified
Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Linda enjoyed hanging out with her only brother. She often talked about
how he used to pick her up to have picnics at the park. She also enjoyed
hangout with her best friends and going to concerts at the Long Beach
Pike back in the day.
Linda really loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren would pick on her until she had
no choice but to laugh with them. When her family got together, she
would often share memories of her and Uncle Billy as children getting in
trouble together in Texas. She really loved her family.
On August 27, 2018, Linda was called home to be with the Lord. She is
preceded in death by her mother and father Viola Walker and Kermit
Alexander and one great-grandchild Dejonae Tabari, Jr.
Linda leaves to cherish her sweet memory, her only Brother Bobby Joe
Walker (Billy); three daughters: Tina Marie, Linda Michelle, and Shibisha
Makeba; eleven grandchildren: Rayona, Ray Jr., Anthony, Linda Latina
(Tee-Tee), Tabari, Lariesha, Jabari, Kourtney, Ronnie Jr., Jermaine, Isaac;
six great-grandchildren: Jozlyn, Haley, Ayden, Chance, Legaci and
Jermaine Jr.; special cousin Marie Taylor of Waco, Texas; three longtime
best friends: Mamie, Marty, and Rosa; and a host of other loving family
members and friends.
