Lorene Graves' Obituary
Lorene Graves passed on February 22nd, 2016 in Lancaster, California at the age of 82 years young. She lived with her son Reginald Wayne Morrison and his wife Karen for the last 8 years of her life due to Alzheimer's.
She was born in Houston, Texas on December 1, 1933 to the parents of Rev. Lawson and Maggie Allen. There were a total of five children born to the Allen's, Rossi E. Allen (deceased), Goree Allen Sr. (deceased), Mary Allen Boone (deceased), and Dorothy Allen Broussard.
She moved to Los Angeles, California with her husband Arthur B. Morrison and they joined Free Will Missionary Baptist Church. She retired. after 50 plus years of service as a registered nurse. Lorene met Letha Lawson while they both worked at General Hospital and they quickly became best friends for life, true BFF's for 56 years. She often enjoyed music, movies, traveling, playing tennis, and sewing. She was one tough cookie and would often say, "!am the captain of this ship''. (Smile)
Her two sons, Reginald Wayne Morrison and Christopher James Morrison, survive Lorene. Her eldest son Larry Anthony Morrison preceded her in passing. Lorene
is also survived by one sister Dorothy Broussard, one daughter·in-law Karen Morrison, one best friend Letha Lawson and 2 spiritual son's Garry S. Moody
and Robert Moore. There are also a wonderful host of nieces, nephews, cousins, ·
grand-kids, great-grand-kids, family, friends and loved ones. We will all miss her dearly.
