With sadness, we share the passing of Mychael Anthony Richmond, born July 30, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA, and who passed away on October 22, 2025. He will be deeply missed and forever loved. In accordance with family wishes, there will be no funeral service. We ask that you each celebrate his life in a personal way.
Mychael Anthony Richmond, born July 30, 1952, passed away on October 22, 2025 in East Los Angeles, California. He was the son of Narvie and Ann Oliver Richmond, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Erma Richmond.
Raised in Los Angeles, Mychael attended Fremont High School, where he developed a lifelong love of sports, especially basketball and football. Mychael enjoyed life, embraced laughter, and was known for his great sense of humor and lighthearted spirit.
Mychael was the fifth of nine siblings. He was preceded in death by brothers Samuel Larkette, James Larkette, Carey Richmond, and Gregory Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory, 2 sisters: Bonita (Richmond) Trotter and Victoria (Richmond) Smith, 2 brothers: Narvie Richmond, Jr. and Kevin Jones.
Mychael is also survived by his daughter, LaShawn (husband, Charles) Swann of Concord, California, and three grandsons, Christian, Justin, and Tyler Swann.
Mychael will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who loved him dearly including his niece and nephew, Timeka Trotter and Tim Trotter whose compassionate care, made his final days comfortable.
