Pastor Norman Earl Hutchins

Sending prayers to the family and loved ones. Pastor Hutchins was an awesome pastor and musical dynamite at Greater Harvest COGIC. His music will always be something I remember and blessed to have been of part of his musical journey, singing in the choir. Rest in Heaven. 🙏🏾❤️

It was 29 years ago when I first met Pastor Norman. I was the new Choir Teacher At Dominguez High School in Compton Unified and the Minister of Music at Pleasant View MBC in Los Angeles. Pastor Norman ran an Ad looking for Singers in the ACC News at the time and on KJLH. I sang for him and one of my Freshman Vocalist as well. Her Mom felt that she was too young to take the offer!! He really liked both of us but I’m a Classically Trained Bass/ Baritone and he was looking for a “go getter” type of singer. Thus we were looking at doing an album of Christian Love Songs!!

This was also around the time Chester Baldwin did The Momma Praying Album!! Fun times and they’re all still working together for our good!! Be encouraged, Pastor Norman touched many lives. Even this High School Choir Teacher!! Rest In Eternal Peace and please save a seat for me in Heaven’s Choir.

Norman and I attended Sussex Central High School and Sussex Vocational-Technical School (Culinary Occupations) in Georgetown, Delaware. We went to the music room along with the other students from our culinary class at the high school, and he would play and make songs. My condolences to his wife, family, fans, and church family. 🙏🏻❤️

As I think back so many years ago when your joined Harmony United Methodist Church on route 4 in Millsboro Delaware your song your hearts out. Mrs Hutchins your mother played that piano ant was shouting. Bishop Norman you was always a blessing and pleasure to talk to, even when you were busy. Hod gave you assignment and you fulfilled it. RIP child of God
