My grandma’s home always felt like a home, never just a vacant house full of empty space. It was a place full of love, forgiveness, and many other things I can’t describe. I always felt this feeling of belonging in her house, understanding, and she was kind as can be…I’ve had a longing for that since things changed and time passed. If there is a heaven in the afterlife, I know you will be there. God bless you grandma, for everything you’ve done for me in my life and reminding me always that I’m smarter than I think I am.

I remember during one of the summer visits to Okc, we all went to the Flea Market. We were walking and stopped for snacks, during those visits we would swap parents. Lol. I would walk around and talk with Aunt Orenal and Kisha would walk around with my mom (Aunt Puddin). I had a canned drink and she asked for some. I gave it to her to have a swig and she almost upchucked. And everyone started laughing, my mom was and Aunt Orenal were laughing so hard and we (EVERYONE ELSE) had no idea what was so funny. It was a can of sweet tea. Those LaViolette children do not drink tea because of the annual Senna Leaf 'Tea' medicinal cleanse. Lol. I never forget that story. I will forever love you and miss you.
